OUR HARVEST MAKES FARM TO TABLE EASY! SPECIAL FOR OUR READERS!

OurHarvest is an online farmers' market offering farm-fresh, all-natural products from local suppliers at fair prices. By partnering directly with farmers, fishermen and food artisans, they source all-natural products locally to maximize freshness, ensure quality and traceability, and keep costs down. OurHarvest donates a meal to a local food bank or pantry, including the Food Bank for NYC, Island Harvest, Long Island Cares and several more. They have donated thousands of meals to date. They now offer well over 200 products from around 60 suppliers, including a wide variety of meats, seafood, produce, dairy, pasta, bread, desserts, and several pantry items and snacks.

Customers visit OurHarvest's website (www.ourharvest.com), select the region they're in, shop for their products, and checkout. Huntington pickup is located at Family Service League at 790 Park Avenue every other Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 pm.  The next pickup date is August 12th.  Customers come to get their orders (which are kept refrigerated and are pre-packed to make the experience as convenient as possible). It's easy!

It helps families eat clean knowing they've received fresh and tasty food the old-fashioned way, and they proudly disclose the supplier of every product they carry! You can taste the difference.

PRICE: They're able to bring products to customers at an affordable price. There are many things they do that help us keep prices down, including strong farm and producer relationships and curated product set.

STRONG FARM AND PRODUCER RELATIONSHIPS: They partner directly with farmers and bring their product to customers without distributors or middlemen.  Being a farmer or a small artisan producer is a tough job, and they are  proud to  make their lives as easy as possible.  They pay them a fair share for their hard work, conveying their story to the people who enjoy their products, and working with them to ensure that purchasing reinforces their sustainable farming practices. Instead of buying beef through a distributor, for example, they work with small, family-owned cattle ranches and buy whole animals from them to make sure no parts go to waste and they can depend on Our Harvest to be consistent purchasers so they can plan ahead.

CURATED PRODUCT SET:  Our Harvest only sells their favorite products across all of our farms.  The sheer number of offerings may be smaller than a traditional grocery store, but the overall quality and flavor will be higher based on the curated experience they provide. Do the best honey crisp apples come from a different farm than the best gala apples?  They go to both farms. They don't carry varieties of products just for the sake of carrying them - they ensure customers only get the best in breed and from the best places we can find.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: They pride themselves on providing a top-notch customer experience.  A certain product you want them to carry? Your favorite cut of steak not available?  They not only listen to requests, but act on them for a more personal shopping experience. Shopping online should not lose the sense of community you get at your neighborhood butcher or cheese shop.
